This years Brighton Festival children's parade theme was 'Brighton celebrates', which covered many of the sights of Brighton. Burgess Hill School wanted to represent the Sealife Centre, which is home to many equatic creatures, and to make a splash, we built a giant turtle and monster octopus.
The octopus took centre stage, with its sinister glare and ten foot tentacles, made using a series of slit and stapled plastic bags, stuffed with bubble wrap. Allowing them a freedom of movement, with a 'wet look' shine.
